Hi! As the large text suggests, name is Akeem. I'm a junior web developer with a love for tech and a desire to create.
Having worked around and with tech for the majority of my life, in my very early years my parents described me as "a child you don't leave things you don't want disassembled around." This little habit inevitably lead to an early interest in automobiles and tech, courtesy of my brother; and later a passion for web development, courtesy of good friends and sound advice
After college I'd gone on to persue a career in the automotive industry as a mechanic and eventually a service advisor. Though I'd maintained my love for automobiles, I'd transitioned from the automotive industry to sales. I'd been attempting to find my passion and somewhat fell backwards into the life of a salesperson. My time as a salesman felt much more like a job I was doing rather than a career I was building. It took some soul searching, writing, an existential crises or two and many conversations with friends before I'd discovered my passion for web-development. Needless to say it didn't take much before I had the realization "this is it, this is what I've been wanting the entire time."
As a junior developer and recent graduate of Flatiron school, I've a few finished and on-going project repositories. With a love for creation I'm always eager to learn and apply my knowledge. I thrive in both an independent and collaborative environment; if your company is looking for someone dedicated, unafraid of a challenge and highly personable, you've found him!
